Verdance Greenhouse OS

Verdance Field Report — Season 06

Five moves that keep a glasshouse honest.

Verdance is a control layer for mid-scale growers. It reads the canopy, predicts the week, moves the vents, and writes down every decision it made — so the crop is never the only record of what happened.

01    Sense

A canopy that reports on itself.

Battery-free nodes clip to the trellis wire and harvest power from the grow lights. Each one returns leaf temperature, stomatal proxy, PAR at three heights and stem micro-variation — every ninety seconds, all season.

Model · 14-day horizon

02    Model

Fourteen days of weather, translated into fruit.

The growth model ingests the mesh, the local forecast and your own cultivar history, then projects harvest windows as bands rather than lines. You get a range you can staff against, not a number that flatters the demo.

03    Act

Vents, valves and screens move before you notice.

Verdance speaks Modbus and 0–10 V, so it drives the hardware you already own. Every actuation is bounded by envelopes you set by hand — the system may act fast, but never outside your fence.

04    Learn

Every season is written into the next one.

Each harvest closes a ring: setpoints, interventions, weather anomalies and the fruit that came of it. Six rings in, the model stops guessing at your house and starts arguing with you from evidence.

Anonymised, regional, and yours to leave.

Opt in and your house compares itself to forty others in the same light band. Opt out and nothing leaves the building. Either way, your data exports whole on the day you ask for it — contracts do not hold crops hostage.
