We wild-harvest six canopy botanicals across 240 hectares of protected lowland rainforest, then cold-press them within nine hours of cutting. Nothing travels further than the river.

Green Lantern Fern

Adiantum lucerna

Unfurls only under 80% shade. Yields a cool, mineral extract we use as the base for every serum in the Understory line.

Cut bract-only, never the rhizome. The pigment is unstable in light, which is why our amber glass is not a styling choice.

From cut to cork

The nine-hour walk downhill.

  1. 01 Cut at dawn

    Harvest opens at 05:40 and closes when the humidity drops below 78%. Anything cut after that goes back to the compost trench rather than the press.

  2. 02 River carry

    Baskets travel by canoe, not truck. Forty-one minutes on the Mero, which keeps the material under 24°C the entire way.

  3. 03 Cold press

    Two granite mills, no heat, no solvents. The press house runs on the same micro-hydro turbine that lights the village school.

  4. 04 Shade rest

    Extracts sit in unlined clay for eleven days. This is the only step we cannot explain in chemistry, only in taste and smell.

  5. 05 Fill & log

    Every bottle carries the harvester's initials and the coordinates of the plant. Scan the cork and you get the tree.
