Set Harbour Kiln №12 Bands 12 Rev 2026.07

Archive notesHow the Harbour Kiln set was assembled

Provenance

Twelve bands, sampled from surviving test tiles under a 5000K viewing booth and averaged across three readings. Each name is the one written on the original tile in grease pencil.

Working rules

  • Ember and Flue never share an edge.
  • Slip is the only permitted page ground.
  • Any pairing under 4.5 : 1 is display-only.
  • Cobalt carries all interactive states.

How to read the field

Bands are ordered by luminance, darkest at the left edge. Widening a band is not decoration — it is the measurement gesture. Pin two bands to the bench and the specimen below re-renders in that exact pairing.
