The Brew
The harrier hunts low over the Wolds at dusk, and for four generations our brewhouse has kept roughly the same hours. This ale is the one we never changed — a Yorkshire amber built on floor-malted Maris Otter, open-fermented in slate squares, and left to finish its own business in the bottle.
Every label on this page is printed letterpress on uncoated stock from a mill twelve miles down the dale. The oval is struck from a die our great-grandfather commissioned in 1904; the ribbons are set by hand for each release, which is why no two batches wear quite the same wording.
