Four planks, painted plain
District Four waits an average of nineteen minutes for the 14 line. I wrote the frequency study the transit board shelved in 2023. As councilmember I will fund a six-minute headway on Mercer, Fell and Palisade — paid for by turning two blocks of surface parking into revenue.
Eleven hundred households in this district got a notice last year. The current ordinance has no enforcement officer and no penalty schedule. I will staff the housing board, publish every complaint on a public docket, and cap increases to CPI plus two.
Our canopy sits at nine percent — the lowest of the seven districts. Two thousand street trees, planted along the eleven routes children actually walk, with a three-year watering contract so they survive their first summer.
Every line item over ten thousand dollars posted the day it is signed, in plain language, on one page. No PDFs that open sideways. If you cannot understand where the money went, it is not transparency — it is paperwork.
