In the winter of 1964, a listening station on the Norwegian coast recorded eleven seconds of sound that nobody could account for. The tape was catalogued, shelved, and forgotten for six decades. Vera Sölve, an audio restorer with a failing ear and a stubborn instinct for pattern, finds it in a crate destined for disposal.

What begins as a technical curiosity becomes an obsession that pulls her north, into a village that has quietly organised itself around a sound it has never admitted hearing. The closer Vera gets to the source, the more the recording seems to be a reply rather than a signal.

Marisol Enge's third feature is a patient, luminous thriller about the arithmetic of distance — how far a message travels, and how much of it survives the journey. Shot on anamorphic film across three winters, it trades spectacle for a slow, terrible clarity.
