The second plate carries no photograph at all: two drawings, interlaced, arguing about the same terrain.
One sheet, two opinions
Printers call the moment of exchange the swap point — the narrow band of viewing angle where neither image has authority and the eye is briefly told two things at once. Our press manager, Ines Oduya, insists the swap point is the only part of the image worth designing.
Everything else, she says, is just two pictures. The craft is in the seam: how fast it travels, how wide it runs, whether it crosses the sheet like a wipe or detonates all at once. Set the lines low and the seam becomes a curtain. Set them high and it becomes a shimmer.
Sheet B is printed at 34 ribs across 420 mm of board, laminated to a 0.45 mm lens, and proofed under a moving lamp rather than a fixed one.

Four sheets a year, posted flat
Each issue ships as a laminated plate plus a 64-page reader. Nothing is folded, because folding a lens sheet ends its life.
