SNAP is a research studio for magnetic interaction. Every control leans toward your pointer, resists, ripples, and snaps home on a real spring. Move your cursor — feel the field.
01 — The Specimen Drawer
Six ways
to make a
button flinch.
Each specimen isolates a single behaviour. Same spring core, different personality. Hover, click, and watch them respond.
FIELD
The headline behaviour. Content eases toward the cursor inside a hover radius, then springs home with a touch of overshoot.
Click anywhere on the face to displace the surface with a light-speed ripple.
A soft spotlight tracks the cursor across the button face.
Reads the pull vector and shears with velocity for a fluid, elastic tilt.
Every glyph earns its own offset — the word breathes open toward the pull.
Mark and word-mark travel as one rigid body through the field.

These four constants shape every magnetic control on the page. Drag a slider and the whole lab re-tunes in real time.
The spring bench
A critically-damped 2-D spring pulls each control toward the pointer. Push stiffness up for a snappier grab; drop damping for a bouncier snap-back.

A good button should feel like it wants to be pressed — tension before the click, relief after.
Motion with a spine
Nothing eases in a straight line here. Every offset rides a real spring so acceleration and settle feel physical, never scripted.
Respect the pointer
Effects live behind a fine-pointer check. On touch and reduced-motion the lab stays calm, legible, and fully usable.
One field, many bodies
A single rAF loop drives the cursor glow, the dot field, and every magnet — coordinated, throttled, and quiet on the CPU.
