THE Thirteenth
Hour

A clock built for the hour that ordinary clocks refuse to keep. Thirteen numerals, one candle of light, and a face that turns inside-out when the hands finally strike home.

HOUR  ·  OF THIRTEEN  ·  the hands are waking

i.

Reading the dial

Where a common clock counts twelve and then forgets, ours keeps a thirteenth — the numeral the guilds struck from their molds. Each hour carries a sigil; drag the lantern across the face above and watch them answer.

ii.

The bloom & the turning

At the stroke of thirteen the dial does not chime — it opens. Thirteen sigils unfurl from the rim like frost across glass, the candlelight halo swells, and the whole face turns inside-out: ink to light, shadow to silver. For one held breath the clock reads the world in negative, and everything hidden by daylight becomes, briefly, legible.
