Kindling the Sight
The first evening is only breath and tinder. You learn to feed slowly, so the flame has room to think before it speaks.
PYROMANCY keeps a scrying fire that leans toward your cursor and brightens as you draw near. Give it fuel and it answers — click the flame to feed it, watch the embers climb, and a reading types itself from the shapes in the smoke.
01 — What we practice
We do not tell fortunes. We teach you to sit long enough that the fire stops performing and simply says a true thing.
The first evening is only breath and tinder. You learn to feed slowly, so the flame has room to think before it speaks.
Every draught bends the tongue of the fire. We chart the leans — toward, away, curling back — and the meanings the guild assigns each one.
When the reading ends, the ash remains. We map its ridges and hollows the way others read palms — a second, colder text.
No augur reads alone. Initiates swear the spark oaths — to never flatter the fire, and never repeat what a private ember confides.
Some questions burn all night. The long watch teaches you to keep a fire honest for hours without letting it gutter or lie.
Ending is its own craft. We close a fire so nothing true is snuffed by accident — the last discipline, and the hardest to earn.
02 — The four tongues
Watch the flame long enough and it settles into one of these humors. Feed it in the hero and see which tongue answers you tonight.
Straight, tall, greedy for air. A fire that climbs wants you to begin the thing you keep circling.
Bent hard to one side. It points at what already has your attention, and asks you to admit it.
Low, thick, patient. Not a refusal — a fire counselling you to wait one more season before you strike.
Bursting into sparks that fly wide. Good news arrives in pieces; gather them before you judge the whole.
03 — From the guild ledger
“The fire never told me a future. It only ever told me the truth I walked in carrying.”
Evenings by appointment at the Ember Hall. Come with a single question, unspoken. Leave when the coals go grey. There is no fee the fire will accept but your attention.
