Foundry Ten is ten designers who believe a typeface is not a fixed object but a range of behaviours. Every family we cut ships as a variable axis you can bend — from a whisper to a shout — so your words can move at the speed of what they mean.

Variable First

Each release is drawn as a continuous design space — weight, width and a custom “tension” axis — never a frozen cut.

Optically Tuned

We hint and correct by eye at nine sizes, so a caption and a billboard read from the same soul.

Web fonts subset to the glyphs you actually use, kinetics baked in, licensed for real screens and real budgets.

04 — The Studio

Ten people, two cities,
one stubborn idea.

Half of us sit in a former print shop in Praha; the other half share a loft above a bakery in New York. We meet at midnight in a shared file and argue about the curve of a lowercase g until one of us is right. That is the whole business plan.

The Praha room — a cast-iron platen press against a whitewashed brick wall, wooden type cases stacked alongside it. — **Praha** — Holešovice, the old press room. Six of us, one platen, no schedule.

The New York room — a long shared work table of laptops and printed proof sheets under tall steel windows. — **New York** — a loft above a bakery. Four of us, one long table, proofs everywhere.

Licensing, custom axes, or a lettering commission that has no right to exist yet — tell us the impossible bit first.
