Interaction · Segmented tabs

Letterforms with a sense of place.

A single active marker slides and re-shapes to fit each tab — spring-eased on the way, morphing its width as it lands, while panels cross-fade beneath. Navigate the whole page with the keyboard alone.

The Terrane family

01 · underline

A contemporary serif, drawn for the long read.

Terrane holds its nerve from footnote to hoarding. Low stroke contrast and open apertures keep text legible at speed, while a tall x-height stays calm at small sizes. It reads as quietly modern without abandoning the warmth of the pen.

Quartz sphinx flung a dozen big jackdaws — a working proof, set in Terrane Regular at reading size.

Optical sizes

02 · segmented

At text sizes the drawing opens up: spacing loosens, ink traps deepen, and the serifs thicken just enough to survive a cheap printer and a tired reader.

Focus a tab, then use to move, Home / End to jump. Each cut is a real optical size — the indicator re-measures itself to whatever it lands on.
